Women in Computer Science (WICS)
The University of Pennsylvania Women in Computer Science (WICS) student organization aims to foster a community for the women in tech at Penn - including Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computational Biology, Digital Media Design and Networked and Social Systems Engineering. Our purpose is to support and promote women in CS by encouraging discussion and raising awareness regarding issues surrounding Women in Computer Science. Learn more.
WICS High School Day for Girls
Each year, the CIS Department and WICS host a day for girls in high school who are interested in computer science. This event will be held on April 8, 2016. To learn more about this event, you can download previous year's information:

A seed grant from Microsoft Research and the National Center for Women and IT (NCWIT) supports "Guidance Counselor and Computer Science Teacher Day," a new initiative with Advancing Women in Engineering (AWE) to encourage women in to study Computer Science in college.
