Description:
These trees are not anchored by verbs, but by adjectives. They are explained in much greater detail in the section on small clauses (see section 9.3). This section is presented here for completeness. 3244 adjectives select this tree family.
Examples:
addictive, dangerous, wary
cigarettes are addictive .
smoking cigarettes is dangerous .
John seems wary of the Surgeon General's warnings .
