Calculus II with Probability and Matrices

Office Hours: M 2:20-3:20, T 1-2, or by appointment. Last regular office hours are on December 4. There will be extra reviews on Thursday, December 6, 5 - 6:30 p.m. in DRL 2C6, given by Mr. Gu, and also two reviews by Prof. Scedrov: on Friday, December 14, 3 - 6 p.m. in DRL A-5 and on Monday, December 17, 3 - 6 p.m. in DRL A-5.

Any type of problem from Math 115 old finals or core problems can come up on our final exam, which will be held Tuesday, December 18, 9 - 11 a.m. in DRL A-6.


Homework #11 due in recitations during the week of December 5.


Homework #10 due in recitations during the week of November 28. There will be a quiz on these problems at the beginning of your recitation the following week, the week of December 5.


Midterm exam #2 to be held in class on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 will cover any type of problem from homework #4, #5, #6, #7, #8, and #9, including Math 115 old finals or core problems. There will not be any new homework due the week of November 21. There will also be special review sessions Friday, November 16, 5 - 8 pm in DRL A6 given by Professor Scedrov, and another one on Monday, November 19, 4:30 - 7 pm in DRL A8 given by the T.A., Mr. Gu.


Homework #9 due in recitations during the week of November 14


Homework #8 due in recitations during the week of November 7. There will be a quiz on these problems at the beginning of your recitation the following week, the week of November 14.


Homework #7 due in recitations during the week of October 31. There will be a quiz on these problems at the beginning of your recitation the following week, the week of November 7.


Homework #6 due in recitations during the week of October 24. There will be a quiz on these problems at the beginning of your recitation the following week, the week of October 31. There will be no quiz in recitations during the week of October 24.


Midterm exam to be held in class on Thursday, October 18, 2012 will cover any type of problem from homework #1, #2, #3, #4, and #5, including Math 115 old finals or core problems.


Homework #5 due in recitations during the week of October 10, 2012. There will be no quiz during the week of October 17 because of the midterm in class on Thursday, October 18.


Homework #4 due in recitations during the week of October 3, 2012. You should do all these problems before your recitation. These problems will be discussed during the recitations of the week of October 3. There will be a quiz on these problems at the beginning of your recitation the following week, the week of October 10.


Homework #3 due in recitations during the week of September 26, 2012. You should do all these problems before your recitation. These problems will be discussed during the recitations of the week of September 26. There will be a quiz on these problems at the beginning of your recitation the following week, the week of October 3.


Homework #2 due in recitations during the week of September 19, 2012. You should do all these problems before your recitation. These problems will be discussed during the recitations of the week of September 19. There will be a quiz on these problems at the beginning of your recitation on Friday, September 28. There will be no quiz on Wednesday, September 26, but the recitations will be held that day.


Homework #1 due in recitations during the week of September 12, 2012. You should do all these problems before your recitation. These problems will be discussed during the recitations of the week of September 12. There will be a quiz on these problems at the beginning of your recitation the following week, the week of September 19.


You do not have to hand in homework, but there will be a quiz from the previous week's homework at the beginning of each recitation. The first quiz will be Wednesday, September 19 and Friday, September 21, respectively. Each midterm exam will also be based on the homework so if you have done the homework you should do well on the quizzes and on the midterm exams.
