Tomorrow we're back in the fishbowl.
Topic:
David Chiang is going to talk about the question "How much strong
generative power can be squeezed out of a formal system without increasing
its weak generative power?", arguing that if we constrain the problem
correctly we can arrive at a definite answer. I will also try to say
something about how this might relate to our recent discussions on
compositional semantics for XTAG.
