William will describe his work on the Synchronous TAG natural
language interface for the "Jack" human simulation, including
a short video. This interface allows users to give high-level
instructions to simulated humans in a 3-D virtual reality
environment, from immediate commands like "sit down" to persistent
standing orders like "drive abandoned cars to the parking lot."
