It is important to note that when using Qt in this course, there are two
separate pieces of software you must install. The first is the library
of Qt classes, which is the bulk of your Qt installation. If you are
using an installation wizard to install these libraries, make sure you
expand the options on the Select Components page and uncheck everything
except for the following:
- Qt -> MinGW (if on Windows)
- Qt -> clang (if on Mac OS)
- Tools -> Qt Creator CDB Debugger Support
- Tools -> MinGW (if on Windows)
- Tools -> Clang (if on Mac OS)
The second piece of software to install is Qt Creator,
your integrated development environment (IDE). Usually the Qt
installation wizard will install Qt Creator for you in addition to the
Qt libraries.
You can find installers for the Qt libraries in the
Qt archives. If you need an installer for Qt Creator, you can
find one here.
If you have just installed the Qt libraries and Qt Creator then you may
need to set up
