- Seabed (in collaboration with MSR):
Seabed extends Spark to build a scalable processing system for encrypted data. With big data, even the smallest encryption overheads can quickly add up. Seabed's ultimate goal is to support fast queries over terabytes of encrypted data by leveraging novel encryption techniques.
DStress is a privacy-preserving graph computation framework that enables banks to run global-state stress tests and detect if there is high risk of an impending financial crisis. The system guarantees that all sensitive information remains secret by combining secure multi-party computation and differential privacy in a non-trivial way.
Eunomia is a static analysis tool that can be used to check whether a network is neutral. Eunomia helps network operators reason about the quality of service that their network delivers to traversing traffic. This information can be used to decide whether a network provides variable performance to traffic belonging to different users or sites.
VerDP is a privacy-preserving data analysis tool that helps analysts publish study results with both strong privacy and integrity guarantees by using differential privacy and verifiable computation. With VerDP, any reader can verify that the study results are consistent to a publicly available digest of the sensitive dataset.
- HotDep '13:
This work proposes collaborative verification, an approach to verify the correctness of systems handling confidential information. This is achieved by leveraging any prior knowledge of nodes interacting with the system, and assigning them parts of the verification.
