About Me

My name is Zhiwei Steven Wu (吴志威). I am a fourth-year PhD student in the CIS Department at Penn, co-advised by Michael Kearns and Aaron Roth.

During the summer of 2015 and the spring of 2016, I was a research intern at Microsoft Research in New York City, working with Alex Slivkins, Vasilis Syrgkanis and Yishay Mansour. During the summer of 2016, I am a research intern at Microsoft Research New England, hosted by Robert Kleinberg.

My primary research interests are in developing theory and algorithms for privacy-preserving data analysis. I often study these questions within social and economic contexts. More recently, I have also been working on designing machine learning algorithms in strategic environments and tools for adaptive data analysis.

My CV can be found here.
