CIT 597 Assignment 10: Rails
Fall 2008, David Matuszek

You should already have EasyEclipse for LAMP installed. This includes all the software you should need, including RadRails and the WEBrick server.

Rolling with Ruby on Rails by Curt Hibbs is a 5-part tutorial. You can mostly ignore the first part, which is about installation. The rest of it is about creating a "cookbook" application: Creating the project, creating the database, running the generators, testing the project, etc.

In EasyEclipse, Help -> Help Contents -> RadRails Help Contents will tell you how to do the same kind of things as in the Rolling tutorial, but only in generalterms--it doesn't step you through a specific example. (In EasyEclipse the Gems configuration step has already been done for you.)

I have also written a Concise Introduction to Rails, which includes the information that I found most useful.
