Here is the major Tomcat
site; as far as I know, any version of Tomcat should be sufficient
for our purposes.
I think the best site for Tomcat installation is Configuring
& Using Apache Tomcat, but there are many other sites if
this one doesn't work for you.

Note that the DOM
Printer assignment uses an OutputStream,
which has no print or println methods to
output a String; it only has write methods to output
bytes. So your DOM Printer cannot use print
or println. But note that the String
class has a getBytes method. |
| November 6, 2003 |
The due date for the DOM assignment is Monday, November
10 (before midnight). |

Fire Drill: As many of you know,
we have a planned fire drill in Towne at 10:30 Wednesday, October
22--right at the start of our class. It will probably be over in about
15 minutes. I recommend that we just start class as usual and act
as though we didn't know about it (but I won't start the quiz until
it's over!) Be sure to take valuables with you when you exit. |
