Such applications demand precise models of particular individuals based on the bone and soft tissue of the head. A computerized system, which incorporates an anatomically complete model of the head and face, would provide surgeons with the capability to plan, and even rehearse, complex operations without undertaking costly and potentially dangerous exploratory surgery.
