Phil 530-301, Object Perception and Objecthood. Thurs 3-6pm. (Spring 2004)

What is an object? We will examine this question in discussing what it takes to perceive an object. Do we see objects just by having them look some way to us? Or is more content involved? And if it is, what is it? That is: What is an object, that we could perceive or think of it? Readings from among Quine, Burge, Campbell, Dretske, Evans, Hirsch, Spelke, others.

Undergraduates need permission.
