Apology

At least one person thinks it was a serious error of judgement to
circulate even anonymous comments without permission of the writer.
So clearly it was. I apologize to anyone who feels this way. I
clearly should have asked people for their permission first. As a
poor excuse for poor jdugement, I take refuge in the press of so many
requests for me to share the responses.

My thought was that the divergent views expressed show that there is a
real need for someone to carry out a systematic survey and exposition
of the semantic ideas coming out of linear logic. I hope that the
message will lead to more light, not heat, on linear logic and
relations to other parts of logic. But, again, I do aplogize to
anyone who feels ill-used. -Jon Barwise
