(a) Someone needs
to reserve room to be used for the TGIF; the reservation should
allow time for setup. If the TGIF will 5:30, reserve
the room 45 minutes ahead of time for set up, and allow 20-30
minutes for clean up. TGIFS normally run an hour to an hour
and a half. The organizers should email Mike the Monday before
the TGIF with the announcement email to allow him enough time
to inform the
mailing lists
(b) TGIF organizers should be aware of the University alcohol
policy:

Beer, wine, & soft drinks are the preferred beverages.
Non-carbonated drinks,
i.e. water and juice, should also be purchased for
students who do not drink beer or soda can still participate.
(c) TGIF orgnizers should monitor the event, making sure people
behave responsibly.
(d) The room being used should be cleared & cleaned up
and the alcohol put away, at the designated time for the end
of the TGIF, usually 6:00.
(e) Make sure *all*
trash (including contents of trash cans in 307) is bagged
and left in the kitchen -- it would be great if someone could
take the bagged trash to the dumpster area on the first floor
of Moore GRW, behnd the double doors next to the Copy Center
as sometimes the trash isn't picked up until Monday AM.
(f) Wipe down tables
(g) Make sure the
controller for the projector system is on its charger in the
closet
(h) Check that room
is in a state where it can be used by whoever needs it on
Monday morning, i.e. the way you found it. Normally
this consist of two rows of desks and chairs.
(i) Alcoholic beverages should be purchased in Pennsylvania.

order, available from the CIS/ESE Business Office.

Save all receipts, etc. for reimbursement throught the CIS/ESE
Business Office.
A normal TGIF requires
normally 3 cases of beer, 3-4 liters of soda, 2
liters of juice, 3 bags of ice, and a pitcher of water for
the beverages
(pitcher in kitchen).
(j) Food should be purchased in a manner to feed enough people.
Old TGIF menus include Pizza, Chinese food, Mexican, Win and
Cheese, Ice Cream
and Waffles.
Possible suggestions are:
- Campus food offers deals normally to Pappa Johns, and other
good places.
- Ed's Buffalo Wings & Pizza offers 1 free pizza for every
4 purchased.
