If you applied for August 2012 graduation and didn't graduate,
you must reapply for December 2012 graduation.

GRADUATION APPLICATION SCHEDULE
Now through November 19th:
Apply for graduation- see (1) & (2) above.
December 3:
For doctoral students - December 3rd is the deadline for depositing the thesis with the SAS Graduate Office, 3401 Walnut Street,Suite 322A. Appointments are necessary for depositing the thesis; call 898-7444 or send email
to gas-degree@sas.upenn.edu to make an appointment. Please tell Mike Felker, mfelker@cis.upenn.edu, when you have the appointment so he can get you the other documents to be submitted with the thesis.
For master's students - December 3rd is the deadline for depositing the master's thesis with the SEAS Academic Programs Office, 109 Towne. Please advise Mike Felker, mfelker@cis.upenn.edu, when you plan to deposit your thesis.
The degree will be posted to your transcript in January 2013.
Diplomas will be mailed in February 2013 - more info @ https://secure.www.upenn.edu/secretary/diplomas/index.html.

DOCTORAL THESIS FORMATTING
- Doctoral dissertation information, manual/style guide & thesis formatting templates @ www.upenn.edu/provost/dissertation_resources.
- There is an unofficial LaTex thesis format template floating around the department that probably doesn't meet the UPenn formatting requirements so be careful.
- Most regular office paper is now acid free.

1 1/2 inch margin on LEFT SIDE - 1 inch on other three sides

Two (2) copies of your thesis, unbound, no staples, must be submitted to Betty Gentner in 109 Towne. Both copies must have original signatures on the title pages. Click here for a sample of a title page.
