"Tele-immersion :The new geographically distributed infrastructure towards improved collaboration."
During the last 4 years we have been developing, analyzing and demonstrating the new tele-immersive technology and how it can facilitate scientific collaboration. We will show the technical challenges in building this kind of a system, then show examples of simple collaborative efforts between Berkeley and University of Illinois, Berkley and UC Davis. Finally we will show what the research agenda is in this realm.
