"Towards the Big "C" Cloud"
Abstract:
Without yet understanding exactly what services it will provide or what technologies it will employ, it is clear that many in academia and industry are moving towards the utopia of cloud computing. This talk explores the design space for clouds in general, and identifies a promising evolutionary path towards the ubiquitous "C"loud. The talk is informed by our experiences over the last six years with PlanetLab, VINI, CoBlitz, and GENI.
