"Conference Participation Tips"

In our April meeting we will focus our discussions on questions about academic writing. The faculty panel will share their tips and advises on various questions regarding (but are not limited to) good academic writing.
Below are some questions we will address to start the discussion.

Discussion Questions
1. Do you think it can beneficial for a student to attend a conference with a published paper?
2. Do you have any special tips about how to prepare a successful poster presentation or talk?
3. Do you have any tips about how to meet other researchers while at the conference?

Student particpants are strongly encouraged to come up with their own questions and bring them forward during the discussion. Alternatively, you can also email your questions to Xi (xilin1@seas.upenn.edu) and Linh (linhphan@cis.upenn.edu) in advance.
