DSL Network Utilization Monitor: This project involved building a system for automating the task of network monitoring. The network inventory information was collected in Round Robin Databases and the tasks included reading these encrypted databases and providing an interface for the same.
WIPRO Infotech India ltd. (Jun 2004 – Aug 2004)
Delhi Online Trading (DOTS) system: Worked on the UI and database connectivity modules of DOTS system. DOTS project aims to provide the software infrastructure for day-to-day trading operations in Delhi Stock Exchange.
Projects
Developed a marketing / roll-out strategy for Petplan –
Petplan, a new pet insurance provider wanted to find new locations in North America where they can provide their services. Using statistical and data mining techniques on vetnary data for certain locations and US census data for each of these places, I formulated a model which can predict the profitable locations for Petplan to venture into. The model also provides information about the people who are more likely to buy the insurance policy and hence would be useful in Petplan’s advertising campaign.

Prediction system for float funds in banking systems –
Developed a system to mine the history of float funds and deposit/withdraw transactions to predict the amount of float funds that could be potentially available to the bank at a future date. The main steps were to pre-process the data, apply data mining algorithms and visualize the results in the form of graphs/charts.

Blogging Website –
Developed a blogging website which manages and aggregates blog posts created my multiple registered users.
Each user can create multiple group of friends and add other users to one or many of those groups. The
website provides the basic capabilities like administrator account, search facility, generation of RSS feeds etc.
