About Me

I received my Master’s degree in computer and information science from the University of Pennsylvania in December 2007. I worked as a teaching assistant for the graduate/undergraduate course in Project Managment during this time, under Dr. John Pourdehnad. I also have a Master’s degree in computer applications (2006) and a Bachelor’s degree in computer science (2003) from the University of Mumbai.

My research interest focuses on distributed systems, artificial intelligence & machine learning and web based systems. Amongst many awards, I was awarded the “Outstanding Contribution To The Institute Scholarship” September 2004 for academic excellence and good leadership skills in organizing events, seminars and activities for the institute.

I have a passion for dancing and singing. I compete for the University of Pennsylvania Latin & Ballroom Dancesport team and also sing and play the guitar. I have performed at several shows at the University of Pennsylvania and at graduate school in India.
